Theresa Mary (Enright) Quatrani passed away on August 19, 2020 at the age of 65. Terry was the daughter of the late James D. Enright and the late Kathleen Enright. Terry was the beloved wife of Ernest Quatrani with whom she shared 40 years of marriage after they met at St. Joseph’s College in 1975.

She was also the loving mother of Michael (Faith Watson), Matthew and Stephen (Amanda).
Terry grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and attended Cardinal Dougherty High School. Growing up, Terry enjoyed spending summers at the Shore and later relished the time at the family’s house in Ocean City, NJ She graduated from St. Joseph’s with a degree in math and spent three years as a middle school teacher and cheerleader coach before taking a job in computers with GE Aerospace. Terry continued her work in the computer field with Rational Software and IBM before retiring a few years ago.

As a female software developer, she was something of a rarity in the 1980s and she helped develop use cases, a standard approach to development today. For years she served as an “evangelist” for Rational and helped run IBM’s annual conferences in Florida and Vegas. Terry also had three books on “visual modeling” published. Her employment allowed her to be a world traveler with stops in India, China, Australia, Vietnam and most of the European countries.

More importantly, Terry was a tireless supporter of her husband’s and children’s athletic endeavors and activities. She was active in the Upper Perk community with bowling at the East Greenville Firehouse, as an officer with the Upper Perkiomen Business and Professional Women (UPBW), as a YMCA member and as a eucharistic minister at St. Philip Neri.

In addition to her children and husband, Terry is survived by grandchildren Dominic and Nathan; sister Rosemary Covert (John); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Jack and her beloved “aunt” Martha.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Philip Neri (Pennsburg) or UPBW scholarships or Project Live UP, c/o the UPV Chamber, 300 Main Street, East Greenville, PA 18041..

It was an honor and pleasure to work with the amazing TQ! Working at Rational was the absolute highlight of my career, where excellence and trust were the norm and colleagues became family. We have lost one of our own and the light in the world is a little dimmer without TQ in it. May you rest in peace, dear friend! I bet your heaven hat is amazing!

My distinct remembrance of TQ is that when I first met her, I was in awe of her stature an the author of the book I read in school. However, minutes later, she was speaking to me as if we knew each other for a long time. Such was her aura and presence at the conference. You couldn't miss her. We kept in touch over the years.
We now will miss her dearly.

TQ was truly amazing - so full of life and love for her family and friends, it is hard to believe she is no longer with us. I was incredibly fortunate to work with her at Rational and she taught me so much about Visual Modeling, people, and life as we worked together and traveled around the world demo'ing Rational Suite. I will always be very grateful to her and treasure all of our time together. And my deepest love to her family during these difficult times. I never met Ernie or her boys, but I heard so many wonderful stories at work and when we traveled that I felt like they were right there with us. TQ will be deeply missed and she made my life so much better while she was here. Thank you TQ!!!
