Salvatore F. Fodero Jr., 70, passed away on March 14, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Angeline and Salvatore F. Fodero Sr. He was the beloved husband of Reneé R. (Palos) Fodero. Salvatore and Reneé renewed their vows after 40 years of marriage on March 10, 2008. As a young man, he served his country honorably in the Marine Corp. Salvatore worked for Bethlehem Fabricators for over 20 years, Lehigh Structural Steel, Gardner Cryogenics (Division of Air Products), and Wilson Area School District. He was a hard worker who enjoyed yard work and gardening and he loved to whistle and sing while he worked. He was known as “Pop Pop” to his three grandchildren whom he loved so dearly.
Along with his wife, Salvatore is survived by daughters Candace wife of Mark Mason of Lower Saucon Township, and Kimberly wife of Tylon Williams of Bethlehem, GA; grandchildren Colin and Caden Mason and Lauren Williams; brothers, Joseph, Frank, and Albert; sisters, Kathryn Nichols, Nancy Pearl, Roberta Cherkis, Clara Fodero, Marie Rummel, and Helen Golab. He was preceded in death by a daughter Christina Rivello.
Services: Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 19, at 1:30 P.M., at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Hellertown.
