Margarete Hildegard Petrovich, 88, of Galloway, NJ and formerly of Hellertown, passed away February 16, 2018. She was the widow of Michael Petrovich, who passed away in 1999. Born in Germany, she was a daughter of the late Wilhelm and Hildegard (Rolke) Scholz. Margaret was a sewing machine operator for the former Casco Sportswear, Hellertown, and later for Surefit in Bethlehem before retiring in 1992. She was a former member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Bethlehem. Margaret was an avid baker and her cherry cheesecake was a favorite with family and friends. She loved to listen to music, especially her German music, and dance the polka. In her later years, upon reflection, she said that her ‘golden years’ were when her children were young and flourishing.
Surviving are children: David Petrovich and his wife, Shirley, of Austin, TX; and Donna Clark, of Galloway, NJ; siblings: Siegfried Scholz, and his wife, Patricia, of Boyertown; and Edith Von Dorszewski, of Germany; a grandson: John E. Clark; and nieces & nephews.
