Obituary for Tamara "Tammy" Bauman

Tamara “Tammy” O. Bauman, 73, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully with her beloved husband Jeffrey by her side on December 17, 2020. She was born in the Zuffenhausen Camp for Displaced Persons in Stuttgart Germany to the late Walter and Julia (Kuharchuk) Bezsoniw. Tammy received her undergraduate degree from Douglass College a part of Rutgers University. She obtained a master’s degree from Lehigh University and completed much of the work toward a PhD at Penn State University. She was a Special Education teacher in the Upper Perkiomen School District for 30 years. Tammy was an active member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ where she was a past member of church consistory. She was also active in the Upper Perkiomen community as a past member of the Jaycee Women and then “Voice” which was the Jaycee women prior to Jaycee’s accepting women. She loved to travel and learn and was a great storyteller.
Surviving with her husband are her son, Bryan and her daughter Stacy and her grandchildren, Dean and Brandon Grisoff.
Due to the current health crisis, services for Tammy will be held privately. She will be laid to rest in St. Mark’s Cemetery in Pennsburg.
