Stanley Nelson Glasbrenner, 86, of Pennsburg passed away March 27, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Ruth (Uebele) Glasbrenner and the late Ellen (Nelson) Glasbrenner. Born in Norwich, CT, he was a son of the late Robert and Cora Mae (Disco) Glasbrenner. Stanley received a BS from the University of Connecticut, and later a master’s in chemical engineering from Purdue University. He served in the Army as a Commissioned Lieutenant from 1954-56. He worked for several large companies including the Armstrong Corporation in Millville, NJ and Cadbury Chocolates in Conyngham, PA where he was the Plant Manager.
Stanley was a past president of the Pennsylvania Manufacturing Confectionary Assn. He was active in the Lions Club in the various towns where he lived and is a past president of the Conyngham Lions Club. He traveled extensively throughout the United States and enjoyed wintering in St Augustine, FL. In addition, he was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting deer & small game, camping, sailing, and wood working. He loved dogs.
Surviving with his wife, are children: William Glasbrenner, and his wife, Lisa, of Levittown; Patricia Ann, wife of Mark Rooney, of Lafayette Hill; and David Glasbrenner, and his fiancée, Theresa Warn of Frostburg, MD; and 8 grandchildren: Samantha, James, Daniel, Sara, Steve, Andrew, Ashley & Zachary.
A visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at First United Church of Christ, 151 S. 4th St., Quakertown, PA 18951 from 10-11 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11 AM. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
