Richard C. Birkmire, 88, of Green Lane, passed away December 27, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Florence E. (Belshaw) Birkmire. The couple was married 67 years this past July 2nd. Born in West Manayunk, Richard was a son of the late Clarence and Helen (McCarthy) Birkmire. Richard was a truck driver for R & R Transportation, a division of Mrs. Paul’s of Manayunk for 41 years before retiring. He enjoyed golfing almost every Sunday. He was the proud owner of a Hole-In-One Trophy.

Surviving with his wife, are children: Richard Birkmire, and his wife, Emma, of Norristown, Carol Ann, wife of David Wentzel, of Barto, and Glenn Birkmire, of Palm; 3 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother, Jack Birkmire and his wife, JoAnn, of Roxborough. He was pre-deceased by a son, David.

Private graveside services will be held at the Westminster Cemetery Mausoleum, Bala Cynwyd.
