Obituary for Penny Kay Schaffer (Bauman)

Penny Kay Schaffer, 68, of Douglassville, passed away December 29, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Jon D. Schaffer. They were married 37 years this past February. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Alton and Catherine E. (Hoover) Bauman. Penny was a graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School. She served as a postal worker in the Red Hill/Pennsburg offices for over 25 years and took pride in getting to know everyone on her route. Penny enjoyed bird watching, listening to music, tending to her garden and taking care of her pet dogs. She was happiest when spending time with her family.

Surviving with her husband, are children: Kaitlyn Schaffer, and her partner, Angelica de Camp, of Philadelphia; and Isaak Schaffer, and his wife, Cara, of Douglassville; granddaughters: Charlette & Rosalyn; siblings: David Bauman, and his wife, Linda, of King of Prussia; and Carol, wife of Charles Hagan, of Stevens, PA; and many nieces & nephews.
