Obituary for Pauline R. Seese (Repsher)

On Sunday, September 6th, 2020 Pauline R. (Repsher) Seese, 85, of East Greenville PA, passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Brian D Perin Hospice House, surrounded by her children. Pauline resided in Monterey, Tennessee from 2006 until returning to Pennsylvania in August of this year.

Pauline was born in East Stroudsburg, PA, to William F. and Violet (Yaggie) Repsher. She was a 1952 graduate of Stroudsburg High School where she sang in the Madrigal Society. She married the love of her life, the genuine Bushkill boy, George W. Seese, in 1952. They spent 52 joy-filled years together, one as the beacon, the other one as the filter. Together, they had three children, Melanie (Bob) Brodhead of Gettysburg, PA; Randall Seese (Fiancée Denise) of Berkeley Springs, WV; Wendy (Patrick) Hiney of East Greenville, PA.

Over the years, she was a member of the East Stroudsburg Band Boosters, a Little League and Cavalier Football Mom. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the Newman Smith Post #514 of the American Legion in Bushkill. She raised her family in what is now the Bushkill/Lehman Historical Society Annex. She was very outspoken and highly determined. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, reading, doing crossword puzzles, researching genealogy and spending time with her grandchildren.

Pauline retired from the Maintenance Department at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area where she worked as their secretary. After moving to Tennessee, she volunteered for the Monterey Food Bank, the Monterey Depot Museum Committee, and the Monterey FCE Club.

In addition to her children, her life will forever be remembered in the lives of her grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, Darryl, Liam, Ruth; great grandchildren: Shayna, Logan, Hunter, Miranda, Lily, Cheyenne, Lucas and Jolene. As well as by her siblings: Asher Repsher and Paul (Donna) Repsher, both of Lehighton, PA; In-laws: Sonya Seese Rake of East Stroudsburg; and James O Seese of Cherry Valley, PA; cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceding Pauline in death were her parents, sisters, Dolores (Richard) DePue, Shirley (Leo) Pipher, her brother, William E Repsher, Sister-in-Law, Dorothea (Asher) Repsher and Brother-in-Law, William (Dee) Rake.

Due to the Pandemic, a Celebration of her Life will be at a date and time convenient for the family.
