Obituary for Nelson Emerson Weber Jr.

Nelson Emerson Weber Jr., 83, of Barto, passed away on December 4, 2022, quietly in his home with his family after a very long and brave battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was beloved husband of Sheila (Knoll) Weber. Nelson and Sheila were married for 64 wonderful years. Born in Orefield, Lehigh County, Nelson was the beloved son of the late Nelson and Evelyn (Dorshimer) Weber Sr. Nelson served in the education profession for 37 years. From teaching young students to college students, principal positions to superintendent, he loved his colleagues and students immensely. He also enjoyed serving his community through countless organizations. He simply loved people. Nothing brought him more joy than traveling with Sheila, his precious grandchildren, or being outdoors with his hands in nature, hunting with his brother-in-law, golfing with good friends, a good breakfast with good buddies, and being blessed by neighbors and young people who helped him with the things he could no longer do. Nelson’s greatest joy though was his family.
He is survived by his daughter Debbie Weber and her 2 sons, Philip Mientus, Jr., his wife Brandi and their 3 children Jayden, Zander, and Paityn. Son Matthew Mientus, his wife Chrissie and their 2 children Emerson and Chase. His daughter Kimberley Jagiela, her husband Jeffrey and their 3 children Dustin, Cassidy, and Carter Emerson. His beloved sister-in-law Lynne C. Knoll and beloved brother-in-law Greg C. Knoll, his wife Mary and their 3 daughters. Dr. Kristen Miller, and her husband Matt and their 3 children Vivien, Gunnar, and Harry. Lindsay Martino, and her husband Nick and their 2 children Charlotte and Teddy. Jenna Cullman, and her husband Hugh and their child Brooks.

At Nelson’s request, there will be a private celebration of life next Spring when life is renewed by God.
