Margaret "Marge" Howell of Gilbertsville, PA, and formerly of Washington, NJ, joined her heavenly father on December 27, 2020. Born November 12, 1928 in Boonton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Bertha (Love) Carroll. She was a graduate of Boonton High School and the Broomfield Secretarial School. She was the wife of the late James "Jake" Howell. They celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 4, 2009 and he passed away on October 9, 2009. Marge was a legal secretary in a New York City law firm before her marriage to Jake. She was also secretary to the Principal at Taylor Street Elementary School for 19 years and secretary to the Superintendent of Washington Borough Schools at Memorial School for 6 years before retiring in 1989. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington, NJ and a past secretary of their Women's Society. She was also a membr of the NEA, the NJREA, the WCREA, and the Verizon Telecom Pioneers HG McCully Upstate Chapter 12 in New Jersey. She was beloved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her son, Glenn A. Howell and his wife Kathi of Hope, NJ, and her daughters: Amy Howell, Dale, wife of Keith Kleinbach, both of Gilbertsville, PA, and Margo, wife of Mark Niewodowski of Bradenton, FL; her grandchildren: Brent, Justin, Erin, Amy, Joshua, Megan, Mark Jr., James, and Amanda; and her great grandchildren: Allie, Rachel, Jacob, Ryan, Nathaniel, Dylan, Kaydence, Emma, Owen, Mallory, Adam, and Lucien. Along with her husband, Marge was predeceased by her grandsons, Glenn Jr. and Scott, and her siblings: Charles Carroll Jr. and Ruth Howell.
