Obituary for Larry Dale Seip

Larry D. Seip, 77 of Pennsburg, passed away surrounded by his beloved family on October 5, 2020. He was the husband of Dolores (Yerger) Seip. They celebrated 58 years of marriage in August. Born in Allentown and raised in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Beatrice (Shaffer) Seip. Larry was a 1960 graduate of Quakertown High. He worked for Knoll in East Greenville for 45 years, first as a truck driver and then in the metal fabrication department, before retiring in 2004. Following his retirement from Knoll, he worked part time as a custodian in the Hereford Elementary School. He was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ in East Greenville. Larry was a member of the Pennsburg Fire Police where he was Captain since 1969. He was also an active volunteer and member of the Pennsburg Fire Company where he was currently serving as Head Trustee. Last year, Larry was honored by Pennsburg Fire Company for 50 years of service. Until the current health crisis, Larry also worked as a Crossing Guard in East Greenville over 10 years. He is also a life member of the Montgomery County Fire Police Association.

Surviving with his wife is his son, Scott Seip and his wife Deborah of Red Hill and his grandchildren: Patrick and Mollie. He is predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Alan Seip.

A visitation will be held from 9 – 11 AM on Saturday at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Pennsburg. Please note that masks and social distancing will be required. Following the visitation, a brief private service will be held at the funeral home. However, following the visitation, all are invited to the Pennsburg Fire Company beginning at 1 PM.
