Obituary for June R. Reigner (Rothenberger)

June R. Reigner, 91, of Frederick Living, and formerly of Pennsburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold “Pete” Reigner. Born in Upper Hanover Township, she was the daughter of the late William and Lizzie (Becker) Rothenberger. June worked for the late Forrest Henry and then with her husband Pete at the former Bieler & Reigner’s then Reigner’s Department Store in Pennsburg. She was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pennsburg, and a member and volunteer with the following organizations: the Goshenhoppen Historians, the Upper Perkiomen Women’s Club, the former Upper Perk Recreation Council, American Legion Post #184 Auxiliary in Palm, and she was a founding member and first president of the Valley Choral Arts Society. June was also instrumental in the creation of the Upper Perkiomen Meals on Wheels program where she volunteered as a coordinator and driver; She was an avid bowler and golfer, she loved to play cards, and was an exquisitely expert at quilting and embroidery.

She is survived by her children: Peter, and his wife Maribeth, of Palm; Kyle, and his wife Joanne, of Pennsburg; and Cheryl, wife of Wayne Dubs, of Green Lane; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Derek; her brothers: Leroy and Lloyd Rothenberger, and a sister Dorothy Fosnocht.

Services will be held privately. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery in Pennsburg.
