Obituary for Jon Shelly

Jonathan “Jon” Howard Shelly, 60, of East Greenville, passed away February 15, 2022 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was the beloved husband of Terry (Covington) Shelly. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late J. Howard & Claire D. (Miller) Shelly. Jon was a graduate of Southern Lehigh High School and the Lehigh Career & Technical Institute. He was a mechanic, first for the former Brown/Quad Printing in East Greenville for 33 years, and then for the Blommer Chocolate Co, East Greenville until becoming ill. He was known to be able to fix anything, had an extensive knowledge of local history and had a very dry wit.

Surviving with his wife, are children: Lauren Zepp-Sellin, and her husband Adam, of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and Steven Zepp, of Green Lane; grandchildren: Jordyn, Carlie, Elijah, and Silas; siblings: Timothy Shelly, and his wife, Brenda, and Carol, wife of Carl Tankred, all of East Greenville, Sally, wife of Jeffrey Tankred, of Zionsville, and Lois Shelly, of Pottstown; nieces & nephews: Katie, wife of Kevin Klersy, Jeffrey Tankred, and his wife Sarah, Samantha, James, and Matthew Tankred, and Tyler Shelly; and his dogs, Sissie & Lizzi.

Viewing will be from 6-7:30 PM on Thursday, February 24th and from 10-11 AM on Friday, at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM.
