Obituary for John Raymond "J. R." Sikora

John Raymond Sikora, 61, of Bethlehem, passed away January 6, 2022. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John and Lillian (Mason) Sikora. John served his country bravely as a United States Marine for over 13 years, where he was deployed during Operation Desert Storm. During his service he was awarded Southeast Asia Service Medal (2nd Award), Meritorious Must (3rd Award), Navy Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Meritorious Unit Citation (2nd Award) and the Navy Good Conduct Medal (4th Award). He was a proud Marine, whose service will always leave the country in his debt. Upon honorably discharging from the Marines, John became a union carpenter for several years. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Surviving are siblings: Michael Sikora, and his wife Becky, of East Greenville, Christopher Sikora, Richard Sikora, and his wife, Barbara, and Debra Huyter, all of Bethlehem; and Donna Sikora Johnston, of California; and many nieces & nephews.

He will be interred with Military Honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003 on May 16, 2022, at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to https://www.warriorsheart.com/ or any veterans organization of your choice. It was very important to John to have his fellow service members be taken care of. Please visit his “Book of Memories” at falkfuneralhomes.com for more information.
