Obituary for Janet L. Wolfe (Wolfe)

Janet L. Wolfe, beloved mom, 66, recently of Nazareth, passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital with her two daughters and granddaughter by her side on February 13, 2021. Born and raised in the Hellertown area, she was a daughter of George and Katherine (Lorrah) Wolfe. She was a graduate of Saucon Valley High School. Janet was an executive housekeeper for many families in the Lehigh Valley area.
She was a shepherd to the animals, and she was strong willed- Her own boss. Janet could be unwavering, but her heart was always in the right place. She loved all animals and devoted her life's work to them. She trapped, spayed/neutered many and kept them fed. From teaching others how to raise kittens to being a foster failure multiple times, Janet put the animals' needs before her own.... always. She acquired strong recognition when she began caring for a colony of cats known as "The Banana Factory Cats" and she built a solid reputation with local animal organizations. She continued her journey with TNR and Animal Welfare. Janet has been told throughout her life that she will be one of God's shepherds in the paradise world....and that is a BIG accomplishment.
Janet could be seen anywhere anytime making sure no animal that crossed her path went hungry, unsheltered, or without love......that was momma Wolfe.
Mom's favorite color was pink. She had a green thumb, brought plants back to life and could make any house into a home with her personal touches, yes, that was momma Wolfe.
Janet's daughters and family are crushed as mom parted this world way too soon.
Surviving are her daughters: Christine Wolfe of Nazareth, and Kari, wife of Greg Hartman of Summit Hill; her granddaughter, Cortnee Hartman; and her brother, Robert, and his wife Nancy of Hellertown. Janet was predeceased by her siblings, Edward and Katherine.
Due to the current health crisis, her services will be held privately.
