James Larry Hamrick Sr, 77, of Woxall, passed away suddenly on December 20, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Julia Ann (McKinney) Hamrick. The couple was married 54 years this past November. Born in Powellton, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Opie and Hazel (Hartwell) Hamrick. James served his country honorably in the Army and the National Guard during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Following his military service, he worked for several companies, retiring from the former Moore Products, in Spring House where he worked for 12 years.
James was a member of Family Worship Center, Lansdale. He loved God and enjoyed being in Fellowship with other Christians. He taught the Bible at various locations, was active in prison ministry and also in ministries involving half way houses. He will be missed by many.
Surviving with his wife, are children: James Jr., and his wife, Theresa, of Lebanon, OH; and Jan Winters, of East Greenville; grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Sarah, Grace, Morgan, and Meadow; and a great-granddaughter, Hadley. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Jack, Jerry, Gloria, Sue, and Don.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 28th at 2 PM at the Family Worship Center, 1000 Troxell Road, Lansdale, PA.
