Obituary for James Franklin Garber

James F. Garber, 85, of Barto, passed away on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the loving husband of Dolores M. Garber, sharing 52 years of marriage together. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Arthur Garber and Grace (Stout) Garber James worked as a firefighter for 26 years. Following that, he worked as a cabinet maker for Allen Organ for 48 years until his retirement. He was an active and faithful member of Huffs Church in Barto where he assisted in community outreaches and the annual picnics. He also helped with the church’s bible school programs. James’ favorite pastime was walking his dog Angel. He was a friend to all. From going to church and making new friends to simply seeing people at stores and restaurants giving greetings and stating may God bless them. He loved anything outdoors whether it was eating lunch outside of work with his children or walking along the pathway collecting rocks with his grandchildren. He loved all of his family and friends tremendously.
Surviving with his wife are his daughters: Mayola (Zentner) Adam and husband Scott of Barto, Pa, and Tracy (Garber) Schultz and husband Cheyenne of Yuma, Az; his sons: Jimmy Garber and wife Kathy of Mooresville, PA, and Chris Garber and wife Kathy of Hereford, PA; his Grandchildren; Erica (Mann), wife of Bill Beard, Ian Mann and his girlfriend Whitney Steinman, Samantha Schultz, Caitlin Schultz, and Adrianna Garber; his great grandchildren: Henry and Grace Beard. He was predeceased by his brother, Barry Garber who died earlier this year.
