Obituary for Gerald Arthur Zimmerman

Gerald Arthur Zimmerman, 82, of Green Lane died on January 19, 2020. He was the husband of the late Norma Jean (Cox) Zimmerman. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Russell and Iva (Koehler) Zimmerman. Gerald served our country honorably in the Army. He then went to work for the former Penn Elastic Company in North Wales for over 20 years. Gerald retired from Brown Printing in 1997 with over 10 years of service.

Gerald was a very artistic and fun-loving person. He enjoyed making Halloween costumes for his children, taking the family on yearly vacations, including many trips to Happy Acres Campground. He was an avid hunter and went deep sea fishing. Later in life, he joined a bowling league in Allentown, and spent time woodworking, walking his dog, and birdwatching.

Gerald is survived by his children: Thomas Miner of Fort Ann, NY, Michael Miner of Green Lane and formerly of Burlington, VT; Renee, wife of Edward Smith, of Delran, NJ; and Heather, wife of Anthony Calhoun, of Stowe: grandchildren: Kevin, Jason, Jenny, Shannon, Skyann, Justin, Joshua, Daniel, Kathleen, Sarah, Matthew, Ashon, and Daja; 8 great-grandchildren: and siblings: Lloyd Zimmerman, and his wife, Helen, of Boyertown; Larry Zimmerman, and his wife, Beverly, of East Greenville; and Joan, wife of Bill Bartholomew, of Topton. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Geraldine, Mae, Kenneth, Ronald, Reneigh, and Dorothy.
