Obituary for Francis Joseph Grim

Francis J. “Grimmy” or “Fritz” Grim, 90, of Red Hill, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Delia (Creitz) Grim. Born in Barto, he was a son of the late Paul and Erma (Wolfgang) Grim. He served his country honorably in the Marines from 1947 to 1950. He worked for the fomer B.F. Goodrich Company in Pottstown as a supervisor for 35 years, retiring in 1986.
Fritz was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where he was an active volunteer at the carnivals, Bingo, and other church events. He was also a member of the Upper Perk Senior Center, the Pike Township Gun Club, the Red Hill Fire Company, the Tri-Boro Detachment of the Marine Corps League, and was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps “Devil Dogs”.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a son Daniel of Barto; his grandchildren: Chad and Pamela, Christopher and his wife Stacy, and Tyler; great grandchildren: Maria, Braden, Zachary, and Madisyn; siblings: James of Pottstown, and Helen of Florida; a special nephew, Paul Bauman of Barto; and many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son and daughter-in-law: Frank and Nancy; and siblings: Stephen, Nancy, Theresa, Dorothy, Rita, Mary, Barbara, Thomas, Paul and Daniel.
All are invited to gather with the family from 9 – 11 AM on Wednesday at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Pennsburg. A Memorial Catholic Prayer Service will begin at 11 AM followed by interment in Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery in Bally with full military honors.
