Obituary for Francis J. Campbell Jr.

Francis J. Campbell Jr., 83, of Topton, and formerly of Pennsburg passed away peacefully on May 18, 2019. He was the husband of the late Nancy (McBride) Campbell. Born in Bally he was a son of the late Francis J. & Emma V. (Benfield) Campbell Sr. He was self employed plasterer and stucco contractor from 1951-1982. Then he started Campbell’s Bird Farm, where he raised exotic birds. Francis also won a blue ribbon for wood carving. He served as Vice President on the Board of Directors at Animals in Distress where he was a very active volunteer. Francis was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament in Bally.
Francis is survived by his sons: Joseph, and his wife Auxi, of Tustin, CA; and Christopher, and his wife, Linda of Red Hill; grandchildren: Bethany, wife of Chad Calderwood; Zachary Campbell and his wife, Dawn; Nathaniel Campbell; Theo Campbell; & Shaila Campbell; Great-grandchildren: Linna & Sophie Calderwood; Adeline, Lillian, Naomi, and Ezekiel Francis Campbell; siblings: Rosemarie, wife of Merrill Hagenbuch of Southampton; Charles, and his wife, Dee of Fleetwood; and James, and his wife Barbara, of Bechtelsville.
A Memorial Mass will be on Friday, May 24 at 10:30 AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally. Friends may call from 9:15-10:15 AM at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
