It was such a joy whenever Florence came to worship with Priscilla at the "Red Door" Church. Although she was often hesitant, she always seemed to be happy that she had come. Florence took her membership at New Goshenhoppen UCC seriously. On more than one occasion - at her request - I wrote to her home church to report that she had taken the Sacrament of Holy Communion. When visiting at The Plains we occasionally included another church member who lived down the hall. In order to keep our conversation clear they were referred to as Florence Olivia and Florence Adelaide. When Florence Olivia moved to Hampshire House she could be counted on to attend worship services whenever we were bringing Communion. We enjoyed talking about foreign affairs, current events, and politics. She was a woman of great intellect and modesty. Both Florence and Priscilla were missed when they moved to Virginia. ~Rev. Dr. Cynthia Walton-Leavitt, Pastor, First United Presbyterian Church, Oneonta, NY

Thank you Cynthia ... as you know I read your Sunday sermons to Florence each Monday while here in VA. I also appreciated your visits with the Florences in Oneonta! Thank you!

I enjoyed all the special happy memory Photos of your Aunt Florence. I remember the time, I drove you to a Doctor's appointment, and your Aunt was questioning if I was a good driver. That shows how much she cared about you and your safety Priscilla. We also had some nice lunches together. She was always a lady. Because she was well cared for and loved she had a very long life. What Heaven has gained a multitude of mortals will miss. Elaine and Jim Zablocki Afton, N.Y.

Thank you Elaine ... yes, Florence was fortunate enough to attend the Lunch Bunch meetings at Main Street Grill in Afton a couple of times :-) Hugs to you Elaine! Priscilla

I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Florence. When I would visit my grandparents' house, she would come over and chat. She attended our wedding. I will hold all of the memories I had with her in my heart forever!

I was only familiar with your Nana's artwork on the walls at my Nana's and at Aunt Florence's while I was growing up. Looking forward to meeting you and reminiscing with you and your mom.
