Obituary for Edward none Ciraldo

Edward Ciraldo, 89, the son of the late Vincenzo and Anna Ciraldo, passed away February 13th, 2022 after a long blood illness. Edward was pre-deceased by his wife Shirley Ciraldo, 83, and leaves behind his four children: Dana Ciraldo (Priscilla) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Laurie Vitiello of Cypress, CA, Donna Anzovino (Anthony) of Hopewell Junction, NY, and LuJean Sovinsky (John) of Liverpool, NY. Seven grandchildren and his sister Nancy Pinto of Fleischmanns, NY also survive Edward.

Edward graduated from New York City College (BS, 1954), and Columbia University (Masters). He was drafted into the Army and stationed in Valley Forge PA, where he met his kind and strong wife, to whom he was married in 1958. Eddie was never more enthusiastic than when he was teaching and stoking the curiosity of both his 8th grade science students, and his children and grandchildren. Edward was also the school boys basketball coach, well noted for repeated championship seasons.

Edward will always be remembered for his gentle, patient, kind, loving manner, and devotion to Christ. He was the family storyteller, family photographer, and had a quick sense of humor. No day was complete without listening to his favorite big bands. Most of all, Edward just loved being with his family and relaxing at his summer home in the mountains of the Poconos.

All are invited to a Funeral Mass starting at 11AM, Saturday, February 26th, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church Pennsburg, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg, PA.
