Doris Rena Sites, 74, of Green Lane, passed peacefully at home on May 19, 2019, surrounded by her family. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (DeLong) Fluck. Doris began her career at Ford Aerospace for 10 years, and then worked for 22 years as a supervisor and analyst for Judson Technologies in Montgomeryville. Doris is a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Pennsburg. She was a Lifetime Member of the Green Lane-Marlborough Lioness Club; as well as a member of the Purple Hat Club of the Open Link Center. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, gardening and always being surrounded by a wide variety of flowers. She also enjoyed traveling; her favorite trip being a cruise to Alaska. Doris loved her family, especially her 5 grandchildren, to whom she was known as "Mom Mom" and "DD." They brought her great joy, especially at the holidays when she would bake cookies with them or hide Easter eggs for them.

Oh the memories, I met Doris through her sister Edie who was a friend of mine It was an immediate friendship with Doris ever since (60 years). I also traveled many places with Doris and I also liked Alaska trip the best, although Germany, Switzerland, and a few other European countries was a strong second. I can still see her smiling on a white water rafting trip we had taken while I was sitting there with clenched teeth and nothing close to a smile on my face. Another time we went on a day trip to Hunters Mountain for a Bavarian Festival and our group was laughing so hard that other passengers on the bus thought we had already started drinking.
My sister and her husband took us to a buffet at the Borgotta Casino in Atlantic City. My sister says she still recalls Doris sitting there with a big smile and kicking and kicking her feet and saying (clams for appetizers, clams for dinner, and clams for desert). We also had a lot of fun when she attended my youngest son's wedding.
She loved life and life loved her. The joy she had when she got a Grandchild was immeasurable. After the second one, she was flying high. Her conversations with every new thing that they did made her eyes sparkle.
Few friendships last forever, but ours still does. Rest peacefully Doris till we meet again. Luv Ya...
