Obituary for Donald Lee Smith

Donald Lee Smith, 88, of East Greenville, passed away October 30, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Sally (Allegri) Smith. The couple was married 63 years this past August. Born in Earlton, Kansas, he was a son of the late Carl and Mary (Smith) Smith. Donald was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was employed in the Sales & Customer Service Department for General Electric in York, Fort Washington, and Allentown for 20 years, retiring in 1985. He was a founding Member of the Upper Perk Takedown Club and was known for his “Hi-Yoo” at area wrestling matches. However, his favorite place to be was Smith’s Sunday Supper surrounded by his large, loud and loving family.

Surviving with his wife, are children: Kristine Marie, wife of Lenny Steinline, of Pennsburg; Donald Jr, and his wife, Fabian, of Boyertown; Jeffrey, and his wife, Sue, of Pennsburg; Mark Sr., and his wife, Andrea, of Red Hill; Nancy, wife of Jay Rodenberger, of Pennsburg; and Laura, wife of James Meitzler, of Pennsburg; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Dean Smith, Dollie Brook, and Nellie Graton.

Memorial Services will be on Sunday, November 3rd at 3PM at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. The family will greet guest from 1:30 PM until services.
