Obituary for Dennis Flight Mathews
Dennis Flight Mathews, 77, of Topton and formerly of Northampton, passed away July 25, 2020. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Edward & Reba (Hahn) Mathews. Dennis was a graduate of Liberty High School in Bethlehem. He was employed at the Shively’s Moving Company, and then as a crane operator for the Bethlehem Steel Corp until retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, dining out, and listening to various types of music. He was a member of the MORA club in Bethlehem.
Surviving are children: Brian Dennis Mathews, of Catasauqua; and Denise, wife of Terry Shelly, of Topton; a brother, Clayton Alan Mathews, of Bath; grandchildren: Brett, Emily, and Jenna; a great-grandson, Grayson, and his former wife, Ann Mathews.
Services will be held privately. The Falk Funeral Home, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown is in charge of arrangements. Dennis will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Park, Allentown.
