Obituary for David Richard Wilhelm

David Richard Wilhelm, 78, of Albrightsville, and formerly of Lansdale, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 17th, 2021. He was the widower of Barbara “Bobbie” (Miller) Wilhelm who preceded him in 2002. Born in Washington, DC, he was a son of the late Clarence and Jean (Hurley) Wilhelm. David served our country honorably during the Vietnam war in the Army, serving two back to back tours in Vietnam. He retired from Weiler Abrasives Group in Cresco, PA in 2014. David was a hard worker, and was always willing to lend a hand. He was a long time member of the VFW Post #245 and was avid Washington Football Team fan.

He is survived by his sons: Kyle and his wife Colleen of Trappe, Christopher and his wife Nancy of Bally; grandchildren: Meghan, Tyler, Aaron, Matthew and Gavin; sister: Margaret Hughes of Morningside, MD; and a sister in law: Linda Wilhelm of Sun City West, AZ. He was preceded by a brother George Wilhelm.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, 11 am, at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. All are welcome to visit from 10 am. He will then be laid to rest next to his wife Bobbie with military honors.
