Obituary for David M. Heise

VIEWING AND SERVICE UPDATE

David M. Heise, 84, of Harleysville, and formerly of Pennsburg and Warrington, passed away April 27, 2020 at home. He was the husband of the late Mary Anne (Umstead) Heise. Born in Philadelphia, Dave was the son of the late Anthony and Ethel (Housier) Heise. He was a machinist, first at Honeywell, and then at Brooks Instruments in Hatfield before retiring. Dave was a past president of the Upper Perkiomen Lions Club, and a member of the Lansdale Lions Club. He was a former Board member and volunteer for the Upper Perk Senior Citizens Center. Earlier in life, he was a volunteer for the Warrington Fire Company. Dave enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, gardening, stamp collecting, woodworking and most recently his cat Rollo.

Surviving are daughters: Lydia Heise; and Christine, wife of John Barger, all of Warminster; step-children: Mary Kostrubiak; Elizabeth Kostrubiak, wife of Robert Strohm, Michael Kostrubiak, and his wife Ellen; Joseph Kostrubiak, and his wife Frances, all of Harleysville; and Claire, wife of Howard Cauffman, of Lansdale; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Carl, Robert, Patricia, and Alice Ann, and a stepdaughter Helen Lauman.

A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be 11 AM, Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main St. Pennsburg. Family and friends are welcome to visit, beginning at 10 AM. Due to COVID-19 facemasks and the practice of social distancing will be required.
