Charles Henry Schoenagel, 88, of Barto, and formerly of Flemington, NJ and Red Hill, passed away March 14, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Thelma Jean (Olsommer) Schoenagel. Born in Greentown, PA, he was a son of the late Carl and Ethel (Beischer) Schoenagel. Charles began his career as a farmer in the Greentown area. From 1960-1980, he operated the Atlantic Station in Red Hill. He finished his career as a salesman for Heavy Duty Truck Parts. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Flemington, NJ; and before that St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Red Hill. He was a 50 year member of Salem Lodge, # 330. F. & A.M. in Hamlin, PA; as well as of the Lehigh Consistory, Allentown, and the Rajah Temple, Reading. For the past 13 years, he was also a member of the Perkiomen Chapter, # 318, Order of the Eastern Star, Red Hill.
Surviving with his wife, are children: Mark Schoenagel, and his wife, Alyce, of BelAir, MD; Barb Woods, of Boyertown; and Pam Becker, of Barto; grandchildren: Michael, Kimberly, Josh, Jonathan, and Erica’ and great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Michaela, and Hunter. He was pre-deceased by a son, Wayne.
Memorial Services will be held privately. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg is in charge of arrangements.
