Obituary for Charles Jon Leister
Charles Leister , 83, of Pennsburg passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 29th, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Bonnie (Smith) Leister. Born and raised in Pennsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna (Dulin) Leister.
He served honorably in the U.S. army. He was a machinist for C&D Battery until retirement. Then, not being one who could sit idly, he took a job at Walmart assembling bicycles and grills and fixing anything needing fixing. He retired from Walmart a few years later. He loved shows about farming and listening to country music, but above all else, his home and family.
He is survived by his sons: William Leister (Janet) of Macungie, and Jon Leister (Christine) of Red Hill; his grandchildren: Matthew, Daniel, Jordan and Tia.
Services will be Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather from 9:30-10:30 AM. He will be interred with Bonnie in Limerick Garden of Memories privately.
