Obituary for Carol Tolomeo-Phillips (Gale)

Carol Tolomeo-Phillips, 62, of Pennsburg passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Roy W. Phillips Sr. Born in Chestnut Hill, PA, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Dolores (Moffitt) Gale and widow of John V. Tolomeo.

Carol worked at Pecora in Lansdale as a Customer Service Supervisor. She enjoyed taking trips to new places, on a cruise every time, if she had it her way. Attending music shows with her husband, be it Christmas theater or fifties doo wop, brought her as much delight as a girl’s shopping spree with her daughters. She was especially keen on spending time with family and friends at the beach and during the holidays. Of the holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas were her absolute favorite since she loved to host family, with a wonderfully home cooked meal and silly games with sillier prizes, in her proudly decorated home. The home in which she took in her late mother Dolores, to have her close and to care for her in her waning years. She cared greatly for the idea of family. And she will be missed.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her daughters Jennifer Reinert of Gilbertsville, Holly Tolomeo of Oley, and Samantha Tolomeo of Telford; her stepchildren: Ray Phillips of Boyertown, Roy Phillips Jr. of Reading, Jon Phillips of Birdsboro, and Sheila McCann of Hamburg; her grandchildren and great grandchildren;her siblings: Paul Gale, Robert Gale, Pamela Zaim, and her nieces and a nephew.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory. Friends and family may call from 10-11 AM followed by a private service for close family and friends at 11 AM.

Donations may be made in her memory to SPCA Montgomery County, 1059 Sweisford Rd, Perkiomenville, PA 18074. To offer online condolences, visit her “Book of Memories” at falkfuneralhomes.com.
