Obituary for Warren Frederick Kurtz
Warren F. Kurtz, 77, of Perkiomenville, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Carroll (Lewin) Kurtz. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Norman and Elizabeth (Supplee) Kurtz. He served his country honorably in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a lineman supervisor for PECO, formerly known as Philadelphia Electric Company until his retirement in 2003. He then re-entered the workforce continuing as a lineman supervisor with contractors of PECO until November 2021.
Along with his beloved wife Carroll, Warren is survived by his children: Liz, wife of Mathew Archdeacon of England, Paul and his wife Anne of Wellsboro, PA, Peter of Boyertown, PA, Linda of Irwin, PA, and Joanne of Perkiomenville, PA; his fourteen grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and his sister, Norma of La Luz, NM. Warren shared an especially close relationship with his eldest grandson, Ajay who he helped mold into the man that he is today. Considered by all to be the greatest husband, Dad, and Pop in this world.
His many loves and interests include being the best short order breakfast cook East of the Mississippi; a connoisseur of the “oldies’ who could name the year, artist, and the backstory of any song; history buff, puzzler, and jokester; avid participant of any competitive endeavor that brought people together, he enjoyed golf and bowling leagues for countless years; huge supporter of Boyertown Bears and all youth sports, taking great pride in cheering on his grandchildren with their many talents and activities.
One of his biggest enjoyments was spending time with his family at the Outer Banks, NC. Unofficially appointed the title Mayor of Perkiomenville by all that knew him. One to always put others above self. He was a fiercely loyal and kind friend to all.
Per his request, Warren will be memorialized privately by family.
