Obituary for Benjamin Franklin Hoffman

Benjamin F. Hoffman, 94, of Perkiomenville, passed away January 9, 2023. He was the husband of the late Cornelia (Goezel) Hoffman. Born in Graterford, he was a son of the late Mahlon and Jenny (Rawn) Hoffman. Benjamin served in the Army During the Korean War, for which he received a Bronze Star. After his service, he was the Parts Manager of Little’s John Deere, in Zieglersville for 41 years. Benjamin was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Sumneytown. He was also a member of the Macungie Post of the VFW and the Palm American Legion, Post #184. He was an avid collector of beer memorabilia and was a member of the J.F.O. (Just For Openers) Club and several other collectors' organizations (BCCA, ECBA & ABA). He and his wife enjoyed going to flea markets and collector’s conventions. They visited all 48 of the lower states in their travels.

Surviving are children: Marlene Grow, and her companion, Gary Latshaw, of Boyertown; and Jeffrey Hoffman and his wife Heather, of Hatfield; grandchildren: Amy Grow, and Steven & Daniel Hoffman; and great-grandchildren: Brianna & Brandon. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, John and Claude Hoffman.

A Military Committal Service will be announced at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
