Obituary for Arlene Mary Conway

Arlene M. (Nace) Conway, 97, of Pennsburg, passed away on January 29, 2020 surrounded by her three children and their family members. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Conway. Born in Woxall, PA she was a daughter to the late William and Hanna M. (Hillegass) Nace.

Arlene was a sewing machine operator for various clothing companies in Red Hill and East Greenville and helped the war effort by making parachutes during World War II. She was a Faemade Clothing demonstrator for 15 years and was an accomplished seamstress. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and saw much of the country via their motorhome. Arlene enjoyed life and valued her family and many friendships.

Surviving are her three children: Fern, wife of Allen Zepp, Joan, wife of Kenneth Gosnell, and William H. Conway Jr; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister: Edith, wife of Barry Miller. She was predeceased by brothers: Ernest, Nelson, and Lloyd; and sisters: Dorothy and Evelyn.
