Obituary for Alan Gerard Schirk

Alan G. Schirk, 76, of New Ringgold and formerly of Red Hill, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Bonnie L. (Sell) Schirk. Born in Quakertown, he was a son of the late J. Harold and Grace E. (Faut) Schirk. He retired from Penn Engineering where he worked as a machine operator. After retirement, he worked as a bus driver for Levy Bus Company for several years before retiring again in 2002. Alan was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Tony Stewart. He always loved cars! He was also a great dancer. His High School yearbook said “as a dancer, he’s hard to beat”.
Along with his wife, Alan is survived by his daughter, Dana, wife of Paul Miller; and stepsons: Dale and his wife Patricia of Blakeslee, and Randy Wagner and his companion Bridget Oppenheim, both of Allentown; grandchildren: Brendan McCann, Steven Wagner and his wife Marissa; Ashley Wagner and her companion Brian Billings, Brandon Wagner, Courtney Wagner, Gianna Wagner; his brother: Lonnie R. Schirk; and a nephew Scott Schirk and his wife Melinda and their children: Cassandra, Courtney, and Chloe. He was predeceased by his brother Barry who died in 2010.
All are invited to a viewing from 10 – 11 AM on Friday with a Celebration of his Life at 11 AM in the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Pennsburg. He will be laid to rest in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Red Hill. Visit his “Book of Memories” at falkfuneralhomes.com.
