Obituary for Keith Anthony DelPrete
Keith A. DelPrete, RPh, 65, of Coopersburg, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Ann (Mateyak) DelPrete.
Born in Scranton to Elizabeth (Breen) DelPrete and the late Anthony DelPrete, Keith graduated from Northampton High School, where he was the football quarterback and played outfield in baseball. After high school, Keith studied Pharmacy at Temple University and became a compounding pharmacist specializing in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). A natural entrepreneur, he started DelPrete’s Pharmacy and Compounding Center in Orefield, which he owned and operated from 1983 to 2009. In 2005, he founded DelCorean LLC and developed several over-the-counter topical treatments, most notably Cramp911 and SoreThroat911. He had an unwavering passion for helping people improve their quality of life and never retired, continuing to work at Newhard’s Pharmacy in Northampton until his passing.
During Keith’s limited downtime, he enjoyed restoring and maintaining his historic 1836 farm in Upper Saucon Township. An avid Disney fan, he always looked forward to annual trips with his family to Disney World. Keith was a wine aficionado who would never turn down a visit to a tasting room and an animal lover who loved being surrounded by dogs (especially his “heart dog,” a Jack Russell Terrier named Luna). Above all, Keith was a family man who treasured time at home or having a cigar with his sons. His family will continue to honor his legacy by spending time together and living life to its very fullest, as Keith would have wanted.
Along with his wife and mother, Keith is survived by his sons, Sean DelPrete and his fiancé Luna Anona of Sacramento, CA, and Corey DelPrete and his wife Lisa Castagna DelPrete of Allentown and their two children, Arabella and Valentina. He is also survived by a sister, Margaret “Meg” Fitzsimons, and her husband Barry of Lumberville, as well as Keith’s three cousins.
